How many people hung in for the State of the Union? We understand how difficult that was - it required an immense amount of alcohol and other substances for us… the drinking and smoking game helped. Joe encouraged everyone to go look at his tax plan, so Mic did just that. We wouldn’t call it fair to the little guy, whose taxes will fluctuate based on income, while the ultra rich companies pay a flat tax. Which they won’t actually pay, as they have teams of tax lawyers who live to fight new tax laws in court. At the same time they’re planning on coming after servers tips… did you know that food servers make a wage of $2.50 on average? Restaurants assume that servers will make enough in tips to bring them to minimum wage, and they generally do in credit card tips which are already reported and taxed. But now the government wants to come after cash tips… for servers who make about $100 a day. What happened to not raising taxes on people who make less than $400,000 a year Joe? That’s the difference between an administration that thinks the people work for them vs an administration that works for the people.
We never thought we’d say this, but if we were to move anywhere right now, it would be to Arkansas. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders gave an excellent GOP response to the State of the Union: measured and sincere.
